Come Follow Me and I Will Make you Fishers of People

At the age of ten my grandpa taught me how to fish. I remember vividly being just the two of us at the lake all day long on Saturday. We caught so many fish! It was so much fun. I learned a lot of life lessons with him at the lake, and now I have the privilege to teach my grandkids how to fish.

Fast forward about eight years later to when I gave my life to Jesus. As a freshman at Miami University Jesus took me to another kind of lake. Jesus taught me other lessons. Deeper ones.  Jesus used those years to teach me how to fish for people.  Over the years I’m still so privileged to see Him draw college students to Himself.

Last month while in Cincinnati, I was able to reconnect with one of our student leaders from Xavier who has since graduated and is now employed at P & G. Matt shared with me how he has been able to take what he learned while at Xavier and creatively continue that in the workplace.  Matt loves Jesus. He loves people, he loves sharing the message of Jesus. He’s leading a weekly Bible Study with several of his fellow employees and still growing so much in his faith. I’m so proud of Matt.

Susie and I have a life passion and that is to see Jesus transform the lives of college students and then to mobilize them as laborers. Matt is an enthusiastic testimony as to how Jesus continues to transform the lives of college students which sets them up well for a lifetime of ministry and walking with Jesus.

You have helped to write Matt’s story and shape our lives and for this we are so grateful.
