This photo was taken last weekend at our winter retreat. We felt like God really impacted some of our Xavier students in a big way. The theme was “Freedom” and the talks centered on breaking free from the sin and shame that binds us. One of the students we brought began his walk with Christ this weekend!
Susie and I have also been doing “Team Chapels” (short devotionals before the games) for the Women’s and Men’s Basketball teams. It is a great opportunity and privilege to have access to these students. They are recognizing their need for Christ and are learning how to honor Him through their life and competition.
Prayer Requests:
- Thankful for all the opportunities and access to players at Xavier and the positive relationships we have with the coaches and administration.
- That we would be able to communicate the Gospel effectively to the students who have been raised in a religious culture, but are still having trouble understanding how they can be born again and walk with Christ.
- That the Holy Spirit would help the students to see their need for a Savior and that they would surrender their lives to Jesus Christ.
- For the students who have recently given their lives to Christ and that as new Christians they grow in their walk with Him and become spiritual multipliers.
- For David and Rachel (our son and his fiancée) as they are making plans to be married the end of May.
