We would like to introduce you to Maddie. As a freshman she has told us how hard it was for her during the fall semester, “I hadn’t found any Christians on campus to be friends with, so someone suggested AIA.” She did a little research on the school website and found out when the meeting was. She came all by herself to our first meeting of 2017. We applaud her initiative and bravery to come without knowing anyone else there. That didn’t stop her… in fact she was just getting started. Two weeks later she attended our annual winter retreat and got to make a ton of new friends. This lead her to invite two other cheerleaders, one of whom, Hannah will be joining Maddie in Puerto Rico for our summer mission project. Maddie is a real delight to get to know and is having an impact on her cheerleading squad for Christ.
Please pray for young Maddie to continue to be brave and grow in her relationship with Christ. If you happen to watch the Xavier basketball games on television, you will no doubt see Maddie cheering on the sidelines, or doing flips, or on top of the pyramid.
