It is with joy and thankfulness that we get to share with you the news that our son Nate was married to Kayla on March 10th. We are proud of all of our children and the lives they have chosen to live as adults as they seek to follow Christ. Over the years we have prayed for God’s provision for spouses for our children, and I feel like His Hand of
Providence was evident in Nate and Kayla’s relationship. We are thankful that all of our children (it seems funny to say “children” since they are all grown now) have wonderful spouses.
Pictured in the above photo: Jake and Sarah Roop (our daughter), Nate (the groom and our oldest son) and his bride Kayla, Susie and Mark (us), and Rachel and David Hammitt (our younger son and twins with Sarah).
We are thrilled to see that we have a lot of students going on summer mission opportunities with Athletes in Action. Jacob is traveling with AIA on their men’s soccer team to Portugal. Bri is traveling to Spain with AIA Women’s Soccer team. Ashley is going to Brazil to represent the USA on AIA’s women’s basketball team in the Pan Am Games. Also, we have five students going to our on-going partnership location, Puerto Rico, on our opportunity called “Extreme Challenge Puerto Rico”: Maddie, Will, Toni, Taylor, Jenna (pictured to the right).
Please join us in praying for these students’ lives to be transformed by God through their experience so that they can come back to campus in the fall as leaders who can reach the campus for Jesus Christ.
