Much of my adult life has been centered around studying the letters of Paul, our doctrinal beliefs like forgiveness and faith. This could be called orthodoxy, which means right belief. I want to know what the Bible teaches about our Christian faith, so I can pass that on and teach it accurately to all the college students as we do evangelism. I continue on that journey.
However, there is a flip side to this coin and that is referred to as orthopraxy, which means right action. How do we live and how does our faith transform our life and impact those around us?
These last two months I have been spending a lot of time in the Gospel of Matthew, more specifically chapters 5-7. This is commonly known as the Sermon on the Mount, or the Beatitudes. If you haven’t read it in a while, I’d love to encourage you to take a look at it this week.

Maybe you have heard it this way: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
I’ve been asking myself, how would I like to be treated? I can be pretty selfish at times. Ok, I am convicted. Wanting something for myself, but not extending the same attitude or treatment for others. Lord, please give me Your power to treat others more consistently in ways that honor You. So just as I’m on a journey in growing in my Biblical knowledge, I am also on a journey in living that faith out in my daily interaction with others.
